ToolpanePrivacy & about

Privacy & about.

Toolpane is a small set of free browser tools for lists, tables, text, links and images. This page explains what happens to the things you type into them.

Your input stays on your device

Everything you paste, type or convert is processed by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to a Toolpane server, and there are no accounts.

What is stored in your browser

Share links

Copy share link puts your current inputs and options into the part of the web address after the #. Browsers do not send that part to the website's server, so Toolpane never receives it. Anyone you give the link to can read what is in it, and chat or email apps may keep a copy, so do not share links that contain passwords or other private data. QR codes are not shared this way because they can contain Wi-Fi passwords.

Hosting and visit counts

Toolpane is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as IP address, browser and the pages requested in order to serve and protect the site. Toolpane uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare describes it as a privacy-first service that does not need you to be identified across sites.

Fonts and third parties

Fonts are served from Toolpane itself, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts. Toolpane does not currently show adverts. If advertising is added, this page will be updated first to explain the consent choices and what the advertiser's service collects.

About

Toolpane aims to be useful every day: quick, clear tools with no signup and no clutter. If a tool does not do the job you came for, or an example gives a wrong answer, that is a bug worth fixing.
