USEFUL DETAILS

See what's missing.

Only in A shows values missing from B; Only in B shows additions. Repeated values appear once in each result. Matching can ignore case and surrounding spaces; line order doesn't affect a match.

Quick start

  1. Paste one item per line into List A and List B.
  2. Choose whether to trim surrounding whitespace and ignore letter case.
  3. Copy the values only in A, in both lists, only in B, or all unique values.

Spot missing product codes

Paste the codes from each column into its own list. Only in A shows what's missing from B.

Input

List A
SKU-001
SKU-002
SKU-003

List B

SKU-003
SKU-004

Result

Only in A: SKU-001
In both: SKU-002, SKU-003
Only in B: SKU-004

Common questions

How can I find items missing from a second list?

Paste the original list into A and the second list into B. Only in A contains items that the second list is missing. Only in B shows additions. For spreadsheet data, copy a single column into each box.

Does this compare duplicate counts or line order?

No. Results are sets of unique values, so an item repeated several times appears once. Line order is not used to decide whether items match. Use Text cleanup to remove duplicates from one list; this tool compares membership across two lists.
