Make JSON readable, check its syntax, or minify it. Number literals and the order of keys stay intact.

USEFUL DETAILS
Readable JSON. The same data.
Paste strict JSON and choose Format or Minify. Syntax errors appear with the browser’s error message. Formatting preserves the original number literals, duplicate keys and their order; it does not repair invalid JSON or convert JavaScript objects into JSON.
Quick start
Paste valid JSON, such as an API response or configuration file.
Choose an indentation style and Format, or choose Minify to remove optional whitespace.
Check any syntax error, correct your input and try again. Copy or download the resulting JSON.
Format JSON while preserving a large number literal
Input
{"id":9007199254740993,"active":true}
Result
{
"id": 9007199254740993,
"active": true
}
Common questions
Does formatting round large JSON numbers?
This formatter preserves the original number literals rather than parsing and reserialising the data. A large integer keeps its written digits, and key order and duplicate keys are retained. A program that later reads the JSON may still have its own numeric precision limits.
Why is my JavaScript object rejected?
JSON requires double-quoted property names and strings. Comments, trailing commas, single-quoted strings and values such as undefined are invalid. The validator reports syntax errors; it does not automatically repair input or validate your data against a JSON Schema.
